For those who know my daughter Shelby, you understand why today is so special. From the moment she was born, I held her close and made a promise: that we would always be best friends. That promise has remained true through every chapter of our lives.
Shelby, where do I even begin? We've had our share of arguments and tears, and we've faced heartaches together. But through it all, you've shown incredible strength and resilience. I am endlessly proud of you.
The past four years have been particularly challenging with your health struggles. It breaks my heart to see you in pain and grappling with everyday tasks that many of us take for granted. On your birthday this year, I ask that each of you lift her up in prayer. Please pray that her pain is eased, that solutions are found rather than new problems, and that she is granted a more enjoyable life.
