Cooking with Confidence

Foodie Tasting Room C’est Bon Fusion Spices & Blends

By week nine, something important has settled in.

We have learned to begin with intention, to trust time, to soften, to pause, to gather, to remember, to enjoy contrast, and to share generously. Now comes confidence — the quiet kind that grows when you realize you no longer need to second-guess yourself in the kitchen.

This week is about seasoning.

Spices are often treated as afterthoughts — added quickly, measured loosely, sometimes forgotten altogether. But when thoughtfully blended, spices become guidance. They tell you where to start and how far to go. They remove hesitation and replace it with trust.

C’est Bon Fusion was created for exactly this purpose.

At Foodie Tasting Room, this blend represents the meeting place of tradition and intuition — a seasoning that feels familiar yet flexible, rooted yet open-ended. It is the kind of blend you reach for when you want food to taste right without overthinking it.

Education | The Art of a Balanced Blend

A good spice blend is not about heat or dominance — it is about harmony. Each component has a role, and no single note should overpower the rest. Salt enhances, herbs ground the flavor, and warming spices bring depth.

C’est Bon Fusion is designed to work across proteins, vegetables, and grains without requiring adjustment. It is a foundation blend — one that allows you to cook with confidence rather than precision. Instead of asking “What should I add next?” the blend answers for you.

Blends like this are especially valuable for everyday cooking. They simplify decision-making and encourage consistency, allowing you to build flavor intuitively rather than technically.

Taste & Sensory Experience

C’est Bon Fusion opens warm and savory, with herb-forward notes that immediately feel grounding. There is depth without heaviness, and a gentle warmth that builds slowly rather than announcing itself.

On the palate, the blend feels balanced and complete — no sharp edges, no lingering bitterness. It enhances rather than masks, allowing the natural flavor of food to remain present.

This seasoning feels dependable. It tastes like confidence.

How to Use It at Home

This blend is incredibly versatile and forgiving.

Use it as a dry rub for chicken, pork, or fish. Sprinkle it over vegetables before roasting. Stir it into soups, stews, or grains. Use it to season eggs, potatoes, or even popcorn.

Because the blend is already balanced, it allows you to season boldly without fear. Start with a light hand, taste, and adjust — trusting your instincts as you go.

This is a seasoning meant to be used often, not saved.

From Jar to Plate

This week’s recipe is simple, flexible, and designed to reinforce confidence. It is the kind of dish you can make on a busy night and still feel proud of — because the seasoning does the heavy lifting.

C’est Bon Fusion Roasted Chicken & Vegetables

This dish is savory, comforting, and endlessly adaptable — proof that good seasoning can transform the everyday into something satisfying and complete.

Groceries |
 2 pounds bone-in chicken thighs
1 pound baby potatoes, halved
 3 cups mixed root vegetables
3 tablespoons Foodie Tasting Room Citrus Habanero Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2 tablespoons Foodie Tasting Room C’est Bon Fusion Spices & Blends
1 teaspoon sea salt
½ teaspoon cracked black pepper

The steps to follow |
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.

Place the chicken and vegetables on a large rimmed baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and toss to coat evenly.

Sprinkle the C’est Bon Fusion seasoning evenly over everything, then add salt and pepper. Toss again to ensure even coverage.

Arrange the chicken skin-side up if applicable and spread the vegetables into an even layer.

Roast uncovered for 35 to 45 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and the vegetables are tender and lightly caramelized.

Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Serve as is, or finish with a drizzle of olive oil just before bringing to the table.

A Shared Perspective

Spices remind us that confidence grows through use. The more often we trust our hands and our instincts, the more natural cooking becomes. A good blend does not take control — it supports you as you find your own rhythm.

Foodie Tasting Room C’est Bon Fusion Spices & Blends are available to taste in store. Come sample them, talk through uses, and discover how one well-made blend can change the way you cook.

Next week, we move into olives — bold, briny, and made for gathering, where flavor meets ease and the table opens once again.
