Summer Fruit Salad

Summer Fruit Salad

Groceries |

2 cups of cubed watermelon

2 cups of cubed pineapple

2 cups of halved strawberries

2 kiwis, peeled and sliced

1 cup of grapes, halved

Juice of 1 lime or lemon

2 tablespoons of Runamok Honey*

2 tablespoons of Foodie Tasting Room Strawberry EVOO*

Fresh mint leaves for garnish

The steps to follow |

Wash all the fruits thoroughly under cold water.

Peel and cube the watermelon.

Peel and slice the kiwis.

Hull and halve the strawberries.

Halve the grapes.
In a large mixing bowl, combine all the prepared fruits: watermelon, pineapple, strawberries, kiwis, and grapes.

Squeeze the juice of one lime or lemon over the fruit salad. This adds a refreshing citrus flavor and helps prevent the fruits from browning.
Drizzle honey and EVOO over the fruit. Toss gently to coat.
Using a large spoon or spatula, gently toss the fruits until they are evenly coated with the citrus juice and sweetener. Be careful not to mash the fruits.
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or transfer the fruit salad to an airtight container. Place it in the refrigerator to chill for at least 30 minutes before serving. Chilling helps the flavors meld together and enhances the refreshing taste.

Once chilled, give the fruit salad a final gentle toss. Garnish with fresh mint leaves for an extra burst of flavor and presentation.

Serve the fresh fruit salad in individual bowls or a large serving dish and enjoy!

This fruit salad is not only delicious and refreshing but also incredibly versatile. Feel free to customize it with your favorite fruits or add a sprinkle of coconut flakes, chopped nuts, or a drizzle of yogurt for extra texture and flavor. Enjoy the taste of summer in every bite!
