Fig Jam and Goat Cheese Phyllo Triangles

Groceries |

1 package phyllo dough

1/2 cup salted butter

1/2 cup Foodie Tasting Room Fig Jam*

4 oz goat cheese

Foodie Tasting Room Wildflower Honey*

pistachio nuts

The steps to follow |

Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Carefully unroll the phyllo dough and cover it with a damp kitchen towel to prevent it from drying out.

Take one sheet of phyllo dough and brush it lightly with melted butter. Place another sheet of phyllo dough on top and brush with more melted butter. Repeat until you have 4 layers of phyllo dough.

Using a sharp knife, cut the layered phyllo dough into squares or rectangles. Place a small dollop, about 1 teaspoon, of fig jam and a sprinkle of crumbled goat cheese at the center of each square.

Fold each square of phyllo dough diagonally to form a triangle, enclosing the fig jam and goat cheese filling. Press the edges gently to seal. Repeat with the remaining phyllo dough sheets and filling.

Place the filled phyllo triangles on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops lightly with more melted butter.

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the phyllo dough is golden brown and crispy.

Sprinkle chopped pistachio nuts and drizzle honey over the top.
