Cordao Coffee Recipe: A Delightful Brazilian Brew

Cordao coffee, known in Brazil as "Café Cordão," is a traditional Brazilian coffee preparation that blends rich coffee with a touch of sweetness. It’s often enjoyed in a relaxed, social setting, perfect for savoring with friends or family. Here's a simple and delicious recipe to make Cordao coffee at home:

3 tablespoons finely ground Foodie Tasting Room Cerrado - FTO Roasted Brazilian coffee

1 cup water

1/4 cup half & half

ground cinnamon or cocoa powder


The steps to follow |

Heat 1 cup of water in a kettle or saucepan until it reaches boiling point.

Place the ground coffee in a coffee maker or a French press. Pour the boiling water over the coffee grounds.

Allow the coffee to steep for about 6 minutes. If using a French press, press the plunger down gently. If using a coffee maker, simply let it finish brewing.

Sweeten the Coffee:


Froth the milk.

Add the milk to the brewed coffee and stir gently.


Pour the coffee into your favorite mug.

Garnish with a sprinkle of ground cinnamon or cocoa powder for an extra touch of flavor.
